Check out the new QuickNet Blog

August 16th, 2008

Hey all!

I just wanted to let you know about the new QuickNet blog we have created. If you don’t know, QuickNet was a suite of apps that was acquired by NDACT a few months ago, in order to improve the NDACT product line.

The QuickNet blog will cover the product introductions more in-depth, as well as it will be a resource for current QuickNet owners.

Check it out here.

Introducing the whatNET 1.2 UI

August 15th, 2008

Hello all!

This is actually the first time we show this to the public, and we’re exited to: whatNET 1.2 will have a completely overhauled user experience, taking advantage of modern OS and GPU features.

The new UI will continue or efforts to make the program easy and nice to use, by cleaning up the experience and showing the features at a glance: no more menus. We’re also taking advantage of the new WPF tools available for Windows Vista and XP to easily make an eye-candy experience.

I won’t go into a lot, but here’s a screenshot of the current build (click on the image for full resolution:

We expect feedback from all of you and please remember the UI hasn’t been totally finished and is subject to change. We’ll keep you updated on the changes we make.

We’re working very hard on this and we hope to have a public version in a few weeks. Meanwhile, whatNET 1.1.2 will be totally supported and we’ll eventually roll out more 1.1.x releases, if critical issues are found.

Thanks.
